TO HAVE TIME FOR THE SUNRISE

The following uses simple generic examples to explain and reiterate examples from you everyday everyday life with the view of introducing, incorporating, then expanding on time management.

When you see each mornings sunrise do you want to be there for the evenings sunset? Have you ever then set aside time to witness the sunset?  Or the other way around.  Did you stop to think that by seeing one, then having the desire to see another, you were in management training? Every day in every way there are 'things' that we are shown how to do as we are being taught how to do various skills.  This method of passing on knowledge is agetting the job done with collabrative digging 'show and tell' method.   How each person absorbs these lessons, the reactions to both the lessons, the choices made and the learning is important  in that the basis of the cultural morals, ethics and values are entrenched and reinforced through many people of different ages, cultures, abilities and generations. Different ages have different learning and comprehensition abilities and curiously bounds. So too does the level of previous learning, along with the current competence at the skill. The understanding of what the skill entails, how the having of or using the skills affect yourself and, among other things the immediate environment, culture, socio-economics, health and wellbeing, power basis issues as well as other factors, the building up of resilience factors has a significant impact and roles to play.

Which path to chose fromIn themselves both the teaching and learning factors are altered to suit the learners challenges as well as the 'teachers' abilities. However just the learning of the skill and the showing of that skill to be learned is not enough.  Being competent in the skills associated with the training is not enough either, nor is an understanding of the changefactors associated with the skills aquisition, as many times the time management factors are not recognized, developed or intergrated through out the passing on of the skills learned. Incorporating these new time management skills into our daily lives is a leap of faith in not only ourselves by in our position within our community.

When you are shown something a bench mark has come to your attention.  The safety benchmark may be how to hold the tool safety so that damage to you, others, the tools or the objector does not occur.  Should damage occur then the damage is minimized as in when the work area is clean and tidy.    You either understand or are informed on theat there are standards to be met.  Be they standards of - behavior, Occupational Health and Safety, moniterary gain, health safety, social interaction, skills practice, communication and so on.

Seeing the sunset is a visual outcome from an objective. The beauty of the sunrise, coupled with the waking of the earth around you may be a catalist for change.  Trigger factors may be of a personal nature.  A comment, a finacial situation, natural disaeters, the victim reasisation are only a few would be trigger factors that trigger of catalysts. So watching a sunrise might bring you a dopeamine chemical release in the brain. The hormone Dopeimine bringing you a feeling of wellness, peace and harmony. A bit like opening a fridge door and finding a cold piece of left over pizza.  You eat that pizza piece.   Ahhh rush of satisfaction.

Marking the time in between sunrise, sunset, sunrise and the next sun set with positive, constructive objectives is the basis of time management.

The time management involves focusing on one goal. Subdivided into short, medium or long term reachable primary goals and objectives. The actual time frames are what you set. Time management is the  building of foundation guidelines with which to work within. Using the sunrise to sunset model these hours can easily further subdivided again or extended to see the next sun set seven days away. To some getting through just the next five minutes is a long time management scale. To other factoring into the day periods of relation, sharing time, work time and family time is a necessity. The desire to have and to organize these times is basic time management.

With that time management objective satisfied have another objective or two to keep you going. Example: you have a dentist appointment. Decisionmade - you made this appointment months ago. As you approach the reception desk your time period has shortened. It shortens still further sitting in the dentist chair! Ever fixed your sites on ...'when this ....is over i'll..." thats a short term goal in an altered time management spectrum. Wow. That's it. Yes. Time management is as simple or as complex as you make it be.

Using the same dentist example. Say as you are going into the dental chair and an urgent event is phoned to you. You have the choice. Finish at the dentist or appologize, free up the dentists time and reschedule the appointment. This is just a rescheduling of priorities within your time management plan. You time managing or rescheduling all day everyday.  Now there is a name for why you may feel so hasselled.  Besides 'just getting through the day"

Working out what guidelines you take to see your orginial visual objective (the sunrise - sunset) are your straegies. Growing vegetables reduces stress. You might have a rest and relaxation straegie, fitting the dentist in to your day would be a health care strategie. Shopping, growing a garden / produce and deciding on what to make to eat, food preparation relate to a fiscal (money) strategy.

Wondering what could go wrong in your day, working out what you would do if ... presented itself you are working on your risk analysis plan.

As they events in your day occur [or don't] these are outcomes.

Outcomes get evaluated. When next time your goal is to view another sunset the position may have changed.  What if you viewed the sunrise from a front porch chair.  Sunsets are on the other side of the house.  Oops you may miss the sunset if you don't move the chair around the other side of the house.  [Risk analysis not seeing the sun set.]  Stratagies for seeing the sunset... a) have self in correct area  b)with the correct equipment in working order and in place c) at the correct time of day! What if natural disasters hinder the viewing of that sunset?

Wow was that a great sunset is an evaluation.  Rcognizing the need for there being the need for more iced water is an evaluation.  The recognition of the need to have a greater quaniiy of ice available is both an evaluation and an objective.

The sun set begins at ** time and sets at ** time tonight is a time management skill, which in turn means that you will are aware of what time to be there.  This allocation of a time tol be there is an objective. The running out of time to fill the car with gas/petrol is a time management issue.  The car will have petrol to get me back here is an objective. The car will be filled with gas by **  time is an objective and a time management issue.

See, you are doing these positive steps all the time. Not only that you are adding to your time management skill with growing understanding and competence all the time. When there are other people with you at the time these time management decisions are made you are passing on the skills and they are subconsciously learning the 'scales of life'.

In the beginning of your new day you started out looking at the sunrise and wondering about the next sunset. curiosity opens a whole new world Curiosity is a wonderful thing.  There are many paths through our curiosity.  As people grow up and the pressures to confort are leached and absorded into our systems and routines the need to get through another time from a place us in time constraints.  Curiosity is pushed by the wayside. Life becomes mandain and there is a 'wonder' of where' it' has gone. Just that now constant niggly feeling that there is something missing.  When the 'wonder' is acknowldeged the curiosity factor may rear its head. Simply opening our eyes causes curiosity factors to act as a catalyst.  Fear of change / not conforming may nip at or tails.

When fear catches up with you - figuritively bittting you on your rear end- there is a definate decision to be made.  Decisiions are scary things.  Decision mean you have to make your mind up.  Every decision alters the scale of your life path. Decisions lead into the path of the unknown.  Fear is pain.  The brain has been taught not to experiance fear.  The fear results in pain cycle traps you. You know that when you open the door to your curiosity the 'it' will begin to seep in and spring clean.  Peace will not rain any more. What use to be comfortable and fit snuggly  just is out of sorts.  You view every thing with a 'tainted' clear vision.

Closing the door on curiosity once there is a crack in the wall of resistance to change just about is impossible. Even the depression of our daily mundanine lives just is not the same.

The brain believes everything that has been subconsciusly planted there. Change is dangerous. Change requires behavior modification. Therefore change is dangerous.Taking time for your self is not allowed.  Panic, be depressed, fear change cause everyone else you know does. So to remain the same as everyone else, the taking time to view a sunrise is dangerous However once the sunrise is viewed. You wonder what the sunset is like tonight.  There you have  your vision for the day.

Mission Statement support the Vision you have through short outlining of just how you choose to achieve this Vision. Having a mission is like saying to yourself  'I will view tonights sunset by being here to see it'.  A very specific sentance giving an overview of the vision.

Having a vision, developing your strategies to support the achievement of your vision, working out the objectives and noting the outcome actually reflects what your personal morals, ethics, and values are. If you are unsatisfied with what and who you are you will not progress through your life path.  Life will keep you returning to the same or similar situations not of your choice until the lessons from that situation are learned, pacticed and worked through.  Once the' blocks' are tackled the mountains of depression are able to be overcome.  Why?  Cause your curiosity has already cracked and exposed you for who you are not what you thought you were.  Thus you have an informed choice of the vision you yourself want to become.

What many people refuse to note is that the changes around person inverabilby made the life that is lead unable to be static.  Each person and their individual reactions too, and associated learning adjustments from what 'life' has thrown to you makes you a constant 'work in progress'. When you are ready you will move toward your life Vision gaining confidence, ability and the life skills you require to achieve your vision. The threat of change occurring or as the change occurs may bring to the forefront other issues within your life. The mountains of depression and rivers of thick sticky life sucking self pity are now a flatter landscape.  Simply cause the bulldozer of self preservation driven by curiosity and a "I can do it' has turned into a 'follow me if you can cause I'm out front.  I'm moving forward."

In turn, the brining other people together having one voice, a place to air their beliefs, or to enjoy the group gathering is a learned time management skill involving social skills development. The choosing of the appropriate place and guest list in which to to have this skill most appreciated is an art form in itself. having what is construed as being inappriote at this time. Thus having negative influences within a setting causes disharmony in the social setting. Disharmony is a pain influence. Also a teaching aid.  People avoid pain.  The pain avoidance is a primary brain survival mechanism  The creating a risk analysis covers what emergency diversion steps to take. Should you want to encourage people to keep coming back to your place to watch the sunset disharmony within the setting will be avoided.  Either that or people will do two things.  Get rid of the negative influences or not return to the seen of disharmony.

People are 'pack'animals.  Each person seeking to be recognised and approved within a group or many groups. Obtaining the desired reaction sequences People heed the loudest voices.to their own life choices made adds 'value' statements to their own lives. Basic identity questions can then be made by others.  The answering of which allows for room either to be made or exclusion to exist. The primary brains effect on each persons life is the safety of and to protect - them self, family and chosen community. The active participation to develop within these areas involved conscious decisions.

How these decisions impact with other belief factors involving the self/ family/ group sphere is based on the depth of each persons individual values, ethics and morals of all three areas.  The ethics, morals and values being major time management vortex's within each person. The associated reactions, acceptance and rejections of any life changing influences [skills gained and competency levels).  In the early 1970's many people  with strong faith beliefs may have been influenced at the time of credit card development that computers signified the begining of end of the world. Therefore to hold and overcome these belief concepts that enable competency in computer skills and use would mean to evade and devalue that deep seated set of intermingling beliefs.

Then came a further development - the internet and associated means of communication. In Australia every person now has the ability to access the internet let alone a computer. Many family units have these within easy reach. Communication technology.Still more have both in their individual mobile phones.  Technology has been incorporated within every corner of each persons individual life.  While working on the computer some people now set their phone alarm to remind them that the pot boiling the egg on the stove needs to be turned off. besides hunger there are occupational health and safety issues of potential fire warning.  Australia has set up through the mobile phone systems natural emergency warning devises after the February 2009 'Black Saturday' fires. Most Australians have had to learn new skills in order to successfully intergreat new time management skills into their daily  lives. Being an Australian is part of being a member of a developing ever changing community.

As pack animals pain there is a belief that pain can be recognized and avoided through team work. Team development causes solidarity and a protective buffer zone. A strong team will influence or crush other teams. Hence why change factors are strongly resisted. Successful time management involves change. Thus pain is either a stimulation to effective time management or a strong negative vortex that strengthens the barrier to successful time management. Whether the recognition is as an isolated individual doing their own thing, or as a group, team or family member, joining into various groups or teams depends on how that person want to be viewed.  Individuals within a group can be tolerated.  Stand alone individual are removed for the perceived safety of that group.

Congradulate yourself. Keep moving towards those sunsets and early morning sunrises.  They are terrific are they not! And there are plenty of others watching them with you, supporting you in arriving on the pathway of life.

Happy Journeys and successful time management.
